Students and Alumni

NLU Psychology graduate and undergraduate students have a common interest in psychology.  In all other ways they represent uniqueness in experience, background, and perspective. They are both of traditional and non-traditional college and graduate school age. Psychology students are involved in education, social services, health services, business, industry and public service.

Alumni of NLU Psychology Programs go on to careers and advanced study in psychology, education, social services, health, medicine, law, business and public service.  All NLU psychology graduates expand their knowledge of the human experience. This information is valuable to them as individuals, parents, family and community members, citizens and employees.

Undergraduates obtain new jobs and advancement in the jobs they hold.  Many go on to obtain master degrees in psychology and in a wide variety of other disciplines.

Graduate students also obtain new jobs, make career changes and advance in the careers they are pursuing A number of graduates of the Master's Degree Program apply and are accepted to doctoral programs. Locally, a number of graduates have enrolled in doctoral programs at NLU, DePaul University, and Northern Illinois University. Pat Porrey is one of these alumni. She is pleased to share this experience of presenting her thesis research. Pat can be contacted at PPorrey335@aol.com.
