Welcome to Adult Degree Completion Programs at National-Louis University!

To ensure that your experience is a successful one the following guidelines should be followed.  Adult Degree Completion students are first and foremost college students and as such: they attend all of their classes; they are punctual; they are prepared; they have assigned readings, papers and presentations completed and turned in when due; and as a result they learn!

Second, because the courses are offered in accelerated format, additional independent student diligence is required prior to and throughout the course.

Expectations for Students who take Adult Degree Completion Courses

  1. FOCUS students are responsible for purchasing the needed textbook(s) and student guides for each course prior to the start of the first class session. Students must have textbooks on the first night of class. All materials should be ordered directly from eCampus.com or by calling 1-877-284-6744 ext 5255.  You will be asked to provide the location, name and number of the course; be sure to identify yourself as a FOCUS student.  If you would like to order from the web: www.ecampus.com/nlu/
  2. Student attendance is expected at all course sessions.  Students will not be able to complete the course if 1 session is missed in a 6-week course.
  3. Students are expected to arrive on time and prepared for class.  If a student is more than 30 minutes late, an additional assignment will be assigned.
  4. Corporations requesting courses on site will provide enrollment of more than 15 students for a course to be held on site.   If this minimum enrollment is not met, the students will need to travel to the closest NLU campus for classes.
  5. To ensure success in the courses, students should consider contacting the Center for Academic Development to participate in a writing assessment.
