Adult, Continuing, and Literacy Education Masters Program

Program Overview

The Master of Education in Adult, Continuing, and Literacy Education (ACLE) is an accelerated, non-traditional program actively employing adult learning theory and principles in its delivery.  There are two cognates from which to choose for the program:  Adult Education Leadership or Adult Literacy/Developmental Studies.  The goal of both cognates is to provide learners with the vision and skill needed to facilitate the education and development of adults in a variety of settings. The program is cohort-based where students learn from one another’s experiences. Faculty are selected based on their ability to facilitate learning and their background in the field.
