Cohort in a Global Classroom
ACE Masters Online
Each Cohort draws from the global community, enabling graduate students from diverse cultures to learn from one another and explore a world-wide network of resources. A Cohort comprises a maximum of thirty students. Each student will have the opportunity to meet other members of the cohort face-to-face in a Cluster at both the beginning and at the end of the program.
Clusters will draw together students from local Networks, initially sites where National-Louis University has a campus to provide additional student support.
Individuals far removed from a Cluster who are unable to participate in a residential workshop will have an online option--an alternative way to meet the requirements of the two sessions when the Clusters meet.
When the program begins in the Fall of 1998, only one Cluster will be supported--the Cluster for the United States and Canada meeting in Chicago. This will not prevent individuals from other countries joining the cohort, but will mean that graduate students from outside America will probably use the online alternative.
In subsequent years, Clusters will be added in key areas of the globe where English is commonly spoken. Advisors and faculty will be available to Clusters wherever they are formed.
